Detailed Description

Controller is an abstract ModelComponent that defines the interface for
an OpenSim Controller.

A controller computes and sets the values of the
controls for the actuators under its control. The defining method of a Controller is its computeControls() method.

Note
Controllers currently do not use the Socket mechanism to locate and connect to the Actuators that Controllers depend on. As a result, for now, Controllers do not support controlling multiple actuators with the same name.

It is up to the caller to delete the returned object when no longer needed. Every concrete object deriving from Object implements this pure virtual method automatically, via the declaration macro it invokes (e.g., OpenSim_DECLARE_CONCRETE_OBJECT()). Note that the concrete class overrides modify the return type to be a pointer to the concrete object; that still overrides the base class method because the return type is covariant with (that is, derives from) Object.
